27 Markets to Be Equipped with Waste Banks and Composters

West Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-department wants to reduce volume of waste that will be transported to Bantargebang Landfill (TPA) by providing waste banks and composters in 27 traditional markets under PD. Pasar Jaya. 

We will coordinate with PD. Pasar Jaya management for providing waste banks and composters in their markets

West Jakarta LH Sub-department Head, Edy Mulyanto expects all traditional and modern market in West Jakarta to use waste banks and composters to process their organic and non-organic waste gradually. According to him, there are 339.8 tons of waste in West Jakarta that have been sorted and processed in waste banks and composters during February 2019.

"We will coordinate with PD. Pasar Jaya management for providing waste banks and composters in their markets," he stated, Tuesday (3/5).
